After years of preparation, Hope Refuge--our local care facility--welcomed its first survivors for the residential program in mid-April. This is a huge milestone for them and for the whole anti-trafficking community of Santa Barbara!
For some tangible ways to get involved, Hope Refuge is offering these opportunities:
Volunteering: ground work, such as weed whacking, lawn mowing, etc
Donations towards:
- Survivors' Personal needs, such as clothing, and school supplies
- Sports/Recreation, to provide for fun activities in after-school hours
- Gardening tools, to start a garden for the girls to work in
